Cheers to all the beers I had after a fall
And all the times I ignored a call
From my boss because it was snowing
And I called out of work to ski I was absolutely going

The fault was really the beginner that cut me off
Luckily the landing was champagne powdery soft

To freezing my ass off when it was twenty-below

While waiting in long lift lines on powder days
To sledding on the ski slope after hours on lunch trays
To waking up at the crack of dawn
To make sure I get first tracks
Down a steep, snowy, muddy, rocky lawn.

Skier, Wanda McGuire, was excited to don a pair of festive paper 2025 glasses instead of ski goggles only to immediately regret it within the first 30 seconds of the chairlift ride. “My eyes froze in place,” said Wanda as icicles fell off her eyebrows surprised that the paper glasses with no lens did not protect her from 50-mph snowflakes hitting her directly in the eyes.

“Before I even knew what was going on I was thrown into the parade like a puppet on Broadway,” said hiker Matt Lipton as he recalled hiking up a trail around twilight only to be surrounded by a group of New Year’s Eve torch light paraders on skis as soon as he lit a match to look at a trail sign.
